Outstanding read and great characters! Please tell me there will be a sequel! Well written and interesting. The characters are all so real, and each flawed to some degree, which makes their interaction so unpredictable and surprising at times. It gives you a peek at the “real” world and strategy of labor-management relations in a context where each side has their noble characters and villains. Eva could be an interesting protagonist for the future – – I want to get know her better!

A fast paced thriller that both has the reader riveted to the twists and jolting turns of the action and also informs the reader of the inside manipulations of those behind management and labor organizations. One terrific adventure with thoroughly memorable characters, and crackling dialogue.

Animus in Philly, from its very beginning, was captivating and extremely difficult to put down without moving on to the next chapter. The author succeeded in keeping me guessing with every turn of events. Well written and I look forward to his next novel.
5.0 out of 5 stars An Engrossing Legal Thriller
By MadProfessor on March 19, 2017

A suspenseful thriller about the corrupt worlds of industrial capitalism, corporate management, and mobbed-up labor organizations. Finding heroes in these worlds, however flawed, is not easy but the author manages to locate them in the unlikeliest of places. From the tragic opening prologue to the bloody concluding chapters, this novel will keep your attention. Along the way the reader will learn more about the intersectional struggles of labor, management, and the legal system under conditions of late capitalism than taught in your typical college course. This professor looks forward to more offerings by this author.

The author is obviously well grounded in the subject of labor law and this knowledge shines through this well crafted novel. The plot moves along briskly and the characters are well drawn and very interesting. Not only does the reader gain knowledge of the law but is also forced to confront the ethical choices the protagonist must make in his chosen career. I heartily recommend this book!
