Illegal for pesticide spray to cross property lines

This means if a nearby (not necessarily adjoining) property owner is spraying, or hiring someone to spray, pesticides or herbicides, and the spray is coming onto your property, they are breaking the law. You could talk on a friendly basis with the neighbor or company, in hopes that they just don’t know the law and will start respecting it; and if that doesn’t work, contact the state. Be prepared with an account of what you saw, video, photos of spray and company vehicle or sign, and record of wind speed and any subsequent damage to plants or insects on your property. Yes, we have known of companies being fined in our area ($1,000, $3,600…). And so they should be for any careless, harmful and illegal activity!
